Do I need a car in Newport?
Downtown Newport is very compact and walkable so a car is not necessary. Ubers, taxis, and sightseeing trolleys are readily available.
A car will be a good idea if you plan to explore beyond the central Newport Downtown area but you should be aware that parking around downtown Newport is difficult. Transportation will be provided the for the Welcome Party, Ceremony , Reception, and Late night after party. Please check the Travel & Stay section for more details!
Can we bring children to the wedding?
While we very much love your children, this event is for adults. Please let us know if you need babysitting options?
There are 3 days of events & we are not sure if we can be away for three days. Is there a preference of which events the Bride & Groom prefer we attend?
When we got an opportunity to book Rosecliff on a Friday in September, we jumped at the chance but we understand that a Friday wedding is not always the most convenient for guests. With this, the Ceremony and Reception is obviously the priority and we are most happy for you to choose whichever other events work best with your individual schedules. A detailed RSVP will be included with the wedding invitation which will allow you to respond to any and all events.
Are there room blocks for wedding guests at specific hotels?
September is the height of the wedding season in Newport and most hotels do not allow room blocks. We have listed our suggestions for hotels in the Travel & Stay section and encourage you to book as soon as possible. Hotels will likely sell out for the wedding weekend. NOTE - Most hotels will require at least a two night say.
If I chose not to stay at one of the recommended hotels, will I still be able to utilize the transportation to the wedding events?
The transportation pick ups will be at all of the hotels on our list so we encourage you to stay within close proximity to one of the hotels on the list. If you are not within walking distance of a pick up spot, we will try to accommodate a pick up for you provided you are within a mile or two of a pick up spot. Details on transportation will be updated closer to the time of the wedding and your accommodation details will be part of the RSVP.
